Threepenny Novel : A4. Pen and ink. Watercolour and bleach

The oldest drawings I still share are from Bertolt Brecht’s 1934 prose variant of The Threepenny Opera he wrote with Kurt Weill… I came to the opera from the songs (primarily Mack The Knife ~ first heard on my dad’s Louis Armstrong cassette quickly followed by versions he had from Frank Sinatra and Ute Lemper, and an ongoing favourite from myriad performers)… from the opera I found the novel.
